Minted from 90% silver and 10% copper, this diminutive coin features Christian Gobrecht's elegant design of Lady Liberty seated upon a rock, holding a staff topped with a Phrygian cap and resting her right hand on a shield inscribed with "LIBERTY," flanked by thirteen stars. The reverse displays a simple, delicate laurel wreath encircling the denomination "HALF DIME," surrounded by the text "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."
