This beautiful bronze sculpture is a wonderful representation of Frederic Remington's iconic 1901 masterpiece, The Cheyenne. The sculpture dynamically captures a Cheyenne warrior holding a spear, seamlessly balanced atop a galloping horse in full, mid-air stride. A close inspection of the textured bronze base reveals the inscribed signature of the artist, reading "Frederic Remington," resting just above a green marble pedestal adorned with a brass nameplate that titles the piece. Renowned for its technical complexity, Remington's original design was a marvel of its time, engineering the entire weight of the horse and rider to be supported by a single trailing buffalo robe brushing the ground, perfectly embodying the raw energy, speed, and spirit of the American West.
