Description

1991 Upper Deck Kenny Lofton Baseball Card No. 24F - Mint condition, see photos. Kenny Lofton was a dynamic center fielder and one of the premier leadoff hitters of his generation, best known for his elite speed and defensive prowess. Over a 17-season MLB career (1991–2007) spanning 11 different teams, he amassed 2,428 hits, a .299 batting average, and 622 stolen bases, which currently ranks 15th on the all-time list. Lofton was a six-time All-Star and won four consecutive Gold Glove Awards from 1993 to 1996 while serving as the catalyst for the dominant Cleveland Indians teams of the 1990s. He remains the all-time postseason leader in stolen bases with 34, surpassing Rickey Henderson’s record in 2007. Despite his 68.4 career bWAR—higher than many Hall of Famers—he was famously a "one-and-done" candidate on the 2013 Hall of Fame ballot, receiving only 3.2% of the vote, though he is frequently cited by analysts as one of the most significant snubs in Cooperstown history.
