However, finding 1920-P Buffalo Nickels in higher uncirculated grades with good strike and luster can be challenging. The Denver (1920-D) and San Francisco (1920-S) issues, with mintages of 9,418,000 and 9,689,000 respectively, are considerably scarcer, especially in uncirculated condition. The 1920-S in particular is a semi-key date, with only a small number believed to exist in Gem condition.
